I was a freshman in high school when I went on a family vacation with a high school friend; we traveled back to where her Mom grew up. We had dinner with her Mom's best friend from high school; she was a travel agent. We spent the evening hearing about all of her travels and I was hooked! I immediately went home and applied to the top rated Travel & Business Career School in the nation and was accepted.
I began my career working for the airlines, managing one of the largest travel agencies in the U.S., and founded Island Bridal Inc. in 2002. Within a few years, it had grown into one of the top three honeymoon and destination wedding travel agencies in the country. As my agency gained recognition, industry colleagues began sending me new travel agents to train and mentor. Drawing on over 20 years of experience, relationships, and proven strategies, I created a cutting-edge training program designed to set new agents up for long-term success. One thing I hear all the time is, “I tried being a travel agent, but they just told me to fake it till I made it—I never really got off the ground.” I'm here to change that. My mission is to help every new travel agent confidently build a thriving business—and to equip every agency owner with the tools they need to hire, train, and scale with ease.
A turning point in my career came when I used the shutdown as an opportunity to transform my business. After decades of working tirelessly—overwhelmed with business yet stuck in the same routines—I knew there had to be a better way. I made the decision to invest in myself, investing tens of thousands of dollars in multiple mentors. I showed up every single day with purpose. I got up, got ready (at least halfway!), and stepped in front of the camera and my computer with unwavering commitment. Through this process, I developed the 7-Star Service Formula, a game-changing approach that has not only elevated my agency but also empowered agents to achieve remarkable success.
Shortly after integrating the 7-Star Service Process into our agency’s procedures, one of our Advisors had a conversation with another local travel agent. Our Advisor mentioned recently booking a honeymoon after confidently charging a $250 planning fee. The other agent, surprised, admitted, "I've been working with that couple for weeks and never even charged a fee. I can't believe they booked with YOU!"
Later, during one of our weekly agency Zoom meetings, I asked the our Advisor, "How is the 7-Star Service Process working for you? How often are you able to charge a fee?
