Get More Clients

Getting new clients is one of the biggest challenges, especially for newer agents, or those trying to grow faster. You're looking for fresh ideas - even experienced agents love a simple reminder or a new twist on proven strategies. You don't need 50 complicated tactics; you need a few good ones you can actually stick to.

With that said, here are 3 Simple Ways to Get More Clients 👊

3 Simple Ways to Get Clients

1. What do you says when someone asks what you do?

Be honest — when someone new asks, “So, what do you do?” do you just say, “I’m a travel agent” and leave it at that?
(And then watch their eyes glaze over? Yeah, I’ve been there too.)

Here’s the thing:
That question is actually one of the
easiest ways to get a new client... if you know how to answer it right.

Most of us meet new people all the time — at the gym, at the dog park, at the wine bar (guilty!). And way too often, we miss a golden opportunity to make them curious, excited, and interested in what we do.

So here’s your homework:
Sit down today and create a one-liner that sounds natural and feels like you.
It should roll off your tongue without feeling salesy or awkward.
[Practice saying it to friends!]

Here’s a simple formula to help you craft it:
👉
I help [ideal clients] [do this awesome thing].

Example:
“I help couples plan the most unforgettable honeymoons and destination weddings.”

Or if you want to spice it up a little:
“I plan romantic escapes that help couples ditch the daily grind and fall in love all over again.”

The goal is to make people remember you — and even better, talk about you later.
Imagine someone saying to their friend:
"Oh my gosh, I met this girl last week who plans romantic travel — you NEED her!"

And bonus:
If your friends and family hear you say it often enough, they’ll start pitching you too without even thinking about it.

2. Convert them into leads

Another easy tool you’ll always want to have in your back pocket is this simple question:
“Do you like to travel?”

Almost everyone does — and honestly, people love to talk about it.
Just ask. Then
really listen. Let them share.

When the conversation naturally winds down, be ready with something like:
“I’d love to help make your next trip even better. Do you have anything coming up?”

That’s it. No pressure. No weird sales pitch. Just a genuine way to let them know you’re here to help.

If they say "yes" (or even "maybe"), don’t let it fizzle out. Be ready with an easy next step, like:

  • “Want me to send you a few ideas?”

  • “I'd love to help when you’re ready — what’s the best way to stay in touch?”

    (Pro tip:
If you’re chatting in person, always have a business card handy or be ready to quickly connect on social media.)

And one last thing:
Make sure what you say matches how you show up.

3. Become an authority

Prove it. Put your money, and time, where your mouth is. Does your one-liner match your marketing? Are you constantly attracting your ideal customer with what you say and how you present yourself and your business?

Think about this:

If someone visited your social media right now, would they see? Would it match how you describe your brilliance?
If someone wanted to tell a friend about you right now, would they know where to send them?

Your Instagram bio or Facebook page should make it super clear:

  • Who you help (example: "Helping couples plan unforgettable honeymoons and destination weddings")

  • What you offer (luxury, romantic, custom, stress-free, adventurous, etc.)

  • How to reach you (easy links to sign up for your e-newsletter or make an appointment!)

    And here's the kicker —
    You want to be shareable.
Meaning, when someone stumbles across your page, they want to tag a friend or send your reel or post with a "We should do this!!" energy.

Quick ways to make yourself more shareable:

  • Post dreamy, inspiring photos (not just travel deals)

  • Share fun tips (like “3 Ways to Make Your Honeymoon Epic”)

  • Write captions that sound like you're talking to your best friend, not making a corporate announcement

👉 Bottom line: Make your online presence feel special, real, and worth sharing and ASK THEM TO SHARE!

Checklist:

Here’s a quick checklist to help you start attracting new clients faster:

  • Create your one-liner that makes them want to learn more.

  • Memorize it!

  • Practice it with friends and family.

  • Pre-pack business cards in all of your handbags, your car, and your coat!

  • Review your social media accounts; do they prove your one-liner?
